As a stay-at-home-mom, I’m often inspired by my daughter, Anna. Ever since she was a baby, she’s loved being outside. And as soon as she was old enough to start expressing her own opinion, she made it clear that she would not be sporting those sweet little sunhats any more!
She was all about ball caps. The trouble was, with her short hair, wearing ball caps meant she was mistaken for a boy. A lot. Options for girl-friendly and gender-neutral ball caps and trucker hats were extremely limited. I couldn’t find anything that didn’t have a character on it or a sassy saying…I just wanted a cute hat that my daughter would actually wear! When I couldn’t find what I was looking for, I decided to create it myself, and Wild Child Hat Company was born!
I’m excited to share my line of adorable trucker hats with other parents of opinionated toddlers! And the fact that I get to be home with my daughter, doing something creative and fun is a bonus!
